Cantacuzino Castle

Cantacuzino Castle in Bușteni, of great architectural, historical, documentary and artistic value, was built in 1911 at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino. The castle, built in neo-Romanian style, is surrounded by a park whose paths lead you to waterfalls, artesian fountains and a grotto. The building was made of stone and brick according to the plans of the architect Grigore Cerchez and covers an area of ​​3148 square meters. The decorative repertoire gives the interior ambience a pronounced romantic character. Stained glass, stucco, consoles, ceilings with visible and painted beams, balustrades made of wood, stone or wrought iron, ironwork cast in bronze and richly ornamented, represent a mastery of the artistic craft. The fireplaces made of Albești stone, ornamented with polychrome mosaics, complete the atmosphere of a noble residence, increasing the value of the edifice.

Vama Buzăului bison reserve

The “Valea Zimbrilor” bison reserve, inaugurated in November 2008 at Vama Buzăului, currently has 27 specimens, which live in the same area as deer and fawns. The reservation covers an area of ​​12 hectares of pasture, but the intention of the local authorities is to expand the enclosure with another 80 hectares of forest.

The Emerald Lake, the extinct volcano and the basalt columns

Rupestra Sinca Veche Monastery

Râșnov Fortress

Râșnov Citadel is the fortified complex located on the limestone hill south of the city of Râșnov in Brașov County, one of the best-preserved fortified complexes in Transylvania. The oldest structures preserved to this day date from the 14th century, probably on the site of the wooden fortification erected by the Teutonic Knights at the beginning of the century. the thirteenth.

Valea Cetății cave (Râșnov)

It is a cave located approximately 3 km from the town of Râșnov, on the Valea Cetății road towards Poiana Brașov, located at an altitude of 825 m. The cave discovered about 60 years ago (approx. 1949, when following a hydraulic explosion – due to the accumulated sediments and the very narrow entrance – the entrance to the cave was uncovered, hence the name Fundata cave). The main gallery has a total length of about 958 m. Since the beginning of 2011, the Valea Cetății Cave (Fundata) has been partially landscaped and introduced into the tourist circuit. The cave has access places for visitors, but also sidewalks, railings, walkways, protective bars, stairs and a lighting system inside the cave.

Before 2011, entering the cave was difficult, only on the stomach. But with proper equipment, Valea Cetății Cave can be admired in all its splendor.

Dino Park Râșnov
